PALIMPSESTS OF CICATRIX is ​​a multimedia
exhibition in De Kerk van Rozendaal,
by six artist. The exhibition is the result
of a Rotterdam residency in which the artists investigated the
landscape as a framework
of traces and scars. We draw lines between healed wounds —
cicatrix — that together formed systems:
palimpsests. The exhibition explores the idea
of layered connections, and how these
connections can attach themselves to new
spaces.

De Kerk van Rozendaal functions as a new
node of this network, in which the works
unfold in video, painting, sound,
sculpture and photography. Each work is a
fragment of larger systems — palimpsests
of cicatrix.
