In Case of Fire, Break Yourself

In Case of Fire Break Yourself examines the elevator as a compressed social machine. The film looks at how people alter their posture, speech and presence inside this vertical container. Using 3D scans and reconstructed space, the work looks at the elevator as an infrastructure that reshapes behaviour, producing awkward intimacy, micro-hierarchies and stillness.
